System Requirements

The better your computer, the more you will be able to do with PoreXpert, which is designed to run your computer to its maximum possible capacity. Some calculations can take between hours and days – they are flagged by a snail icon in the Help system.

If the calculations are beyond what your computer can handle, then you can send a batch operation to us to be run on PoreXpert Cloud – please contact us about that.

Minimum specifications are:

• Permission to run the installer on your machine with Administrator privileges.
• Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10 if using PoreXpert, PoreXpert Professional & PoreXpert Professional Academic.
• 64 bit processor.
• Spare USB Port for copy protection dongle for PoreXpert and PoreXpert Professional.
• At least a dual core processor.  Multiple threads will all be utilised when running PoreXpert in Batch mode.
• At least 8 GB of RAM.
• For the full virtual reality experience, a dedicated graphics card is required, but standard embedded graphics solutions will give a useable display.
• Internet access for the latest Help, registration of the software and downloading updates of the software.
