I can see the surface of my porous material – but what’s behind ?

After many months of hard work, we have programmed and validated the next generation of PoreXpert – version 3.  It includes many new features, the most important being that it now accepts surface or ‘channel’ porosity estimates from image analysis, and converts them into bulk open porosities and complete void networks with the help of percolation characteristics.  Full details are given in our poster at the SRP conference in Hull, UK on 14th May, available from the downloads page.  Also available for download from the User pages is a trial beta version of the software that includes all the new features, including on-line permeability calibration.
